From Estimate to Fresh Finish — The Full Sequence
Most paint failures trace back to what was not communicated before the first coat. This page explains every stage of how we work — so by the time your project is scheduled, nothing about the process is a surprise.
Submit Your Project Details
Use the estimate form to describe the project. Include photos of the surfaces, rooms, and any specific concerns. The more detail you provide, the more accurate and useful our initial response will be.
Site Assessment
We assess surface condition, existing coatings, prep needs, access, and what needs to be protected. This is where we identify issues that affect scope and cost.
Clear Scope and Estimate
You receive a written scope that explains what is included, what is excluded, what could change the price if conditions differ from what we saw, and what the full timeline looks like from prep through final coat.
Scheduling and Materials
Once you approve the scope, we schedule the work and order products. Exterior painting is weather dependent — we explain any timing considerations for your project before locking in dates.
Surface Prep
Cleaning, patching, sanding, caulking, and priming happen before any finish coat. This phase determines how long the finish lasts — prep is where quality is built or lost.
Protection and Masking
Floors, furniture, fixtures, and adjacent surfaces are covered and masked. Edges are cut in before rolling. We verify everything is protected before paint goes on.
Priming and Finish Coats
Primer where needed, then finish coats in the proper number. In Sacramento heat, product and timing matter — we choose products rated for the conditions and work the schedule accordingly.
Dry Time and Walk-Through
We explain the specific dry and cure timeline for your surfaces: when it is dry to touch, when rooms are move-in ready, and when the finish reaches full hardness. We walk the space with you before we call it done.
